GRANDMA DID WHAT?!

LATA 65 is a Portuguese urban creative art program that puts on workshops mainly focused on senior citizens. Lisbon is a popular center for street art and the program was created in order to help bridge the gap between the older and younger generations in the community.
The program teaches the seniors how to embrace and appreciate street art by getting them actively involved. The workshops teach the seniors the significance of the culture of street art, while they go out and tag walls on their own in various neighborhoods of Lisbon.
Since the program began in 2012, over 100 seniors, ages 63 to 94, have participated in these workshops. LATA 65 crushes the stereotypes of both young and old and shows that no one is too old or young for any form of art.
