Man With Brain Injury Refuses to Live off Government Programs
Shoutout to Regular Hero of the Day, Paul Gallo, the manager of Lowes in North Regina, Canada. When Owen Lima walked into Lowes asking for a job, Paul didn’t turn him away like everyone else had. Owen is disabled due to a brain injury from an accident. However, Owen believed in hard work and refused to rely on government programs to support himself.
With many attempts to find a job, Owen ended his search. Paul hired him as a greeter, with his only condition that Blue, his service dog, also wear a uniform to come to work in.
